Does Dell Optiplex 5050 Minitower support Intel RAID?

Have a new 5050 Minitower and I want to install two 1TB Samsung 860 EVO SATA based 2.5" SSD's as the boot drive in a RAID 1. Installed the two SSD's and powered up the system and f12 and went to Device Configuration but I don't have the option to Create Volume. All it shows me is the two SSD's as non-RAID Physical Disks. Not sure why the chipset lacks the RAID option. The RAID ON is enabled within the BIOS itself. Tried going to Legacy Mode for boot to gain access to the option to hit CTRL-I during post but that option never shows itself. BIOS version is 1.9.2, the latest one. Seems like there is no RAID support on the chipset although according to the Intel datasheet on the Q270 chipset which is the chipset of the 5050 motherboard, this machine should support it. Please advise

Thanks in advance

If it's not available you can't use it.

I guess you will just have to run a nightly backup instead.

Using the motherboard's M.2/PCIe/NVMe slot with 2280-SSD would be faster.
