My pc just restarted randomly

I have a dell optiplex 790 and I was just playing a game and all the sudden it restarted, this time it showed a boot logo I have never seen before, then it went back to the normal boot logo I'm used to seeing, if anyone could tell me what the issue is that would be good, thanks.

Crash could be due to various possible causes.

  1. psu under power of gpu if your gpu wants to pull more power than available,
  2. memory corruption,
  3. motherboard chipset instability, etc.

790 is a relatively stable business platform pc. What is spec and what strange logo do you see?  If your crash is reproducible and only occurs during gaming, then it may be related to gpu and not memory or chipset.

Ok my specs are:

I5 2400

Quadro 600

8gb ddr3 ram

120gb ssd+500gb hdd

Windows 10 pro 20h2

Bios revision a07

So my pc restarted and showed a dell logo with an energy star logo in the corner, then it showed the dell boot logo I normally see and it restarted normally, I was playing minecraft, osu and another game for an hour before it restarted.

Sorry can not explain the sudden appearance of energy star logo on your screen, but optiplex 790 data sheet mentions it meets Energy Star 5.0.

have you played the same game again and encounter restart consistently, or was it an one time event?  Q600 is a 40w card.  790 tech guide mentions “max wattage” is 35W for blue PCIex16 slot for MT, DT, SFF.  it is doubtful your restart is due to the 5W difference.
