OptiPlex 5050 vs OptiPlex 7050
Hello,
I am interested in purchasing on of the 2 models. Found the specs for both, 7050 is capable of:
RAID 0 & 1 support on select configurations (Tower/Small Form Factor only).
Does this mean I can use 2xM.2 PCIe SSD's in RAID?

1. Possibly, but where would you install the second M.2/PCIe/NVMe SSD ? In a PCIe Addin card?
2. I recommend NO RAIDs on desktops these days .
RAID-0 = Use PCIe/NVMe SSDs instead. They are plenty fast (about 5-times faster than a SATA-3/600 SSD)
RAID-1 = Backup or Image instead. Those are not affected by virus infection or even ransomware (especially if disconnected during attack).

Thank you for your quick reply. Can I use: RAID-0 = Use PCIe/NVMe SSDs instead, 2 of these in raid0 as boot drive? SSD 960 EVO NVMe M.2 250GB is this good? Can you please link some ssd models which I can use in raid0 as boot drive? Works only with 7050?
