OptiPlex 7000 SFF Sleep/Hibernate
About 1 month old system from Dell
Sleep/hibernate set to system defaults (balanced) occasionally doesn't wake up, the mouse icon is very sluggish keybd doesn't work so cannot enter Pin. No other keybd keys function, after about 5 min the Keybd functions And I'm in.
All Dell updates have been done, Support Assist Home page all options run, Trouble shoot for Standby/Hibernate fails, as does Mouse.
Did an online support chat and they ended the chat for no reason
I might mention I'm using the Dell supplied wireless Keybd & Mouse which frequently reports low battery, when it is not
Perplexed

In the Power Management settings, try setting the power button to "sleep." That way, if PC is off, in sleep or hibernate states, you can use it to turn PC back on. If it's set to turn PC off, that's exactly what it will do from wake, sleep, and hibernate states.
It can't hurt to have a battery tester to make sure batteries are good. Unless you just put in new ones and right away it tells you the batteries are low?
Dell just might replace your keyboard and mouse if troubleshooting steps don't work.

Screen & Sleep set for 10 & 30 min respectively
Power to Balanced.
Used two different battery testers
SupportAsstant HW mouse test fails on the scroll Btn, but it actually works OK
All other HW tests pass including those run under boot diagnostics
