Optiplex 7040 micro / i7-6700T UWQHD 3440x1440
Hi!
I recently bought an ultra wide screen (34'' with native resolution of 3440x1440 @75hz)
I would like to buy a refurbished dell optiplex 7040 (micro) with i7-6700T.
What I've managed to find on web is that this integrated gpu (Intel HD 530) is capable of outputting 4K @60hz overr DP 1.2 - which according to description provided by reseller is available on this 7040 micro.
What I want to confirm prior to my purchase is:
1. Does this dell pc handle 3440x1440 @60 over DP or HDMI?
2. Is it possible to install this wifi card:
intel-dual-band-wireless-ac-7260
(I currently use it on my laptop and wonder if it fits to the port on optiplex 7040 micro)

Look inside your monitor spec sheet to see it specifies DP1.2 or 1.4.

So if do 1.2 supports 4k@60 it means it will also support 3440x1440@60?
Sorry if it's obvious. I just want to be sure and whenever i find a similar topic regarding max resolution it's always referring to 4k and not the uwqhd format.

DP1.2: 4k 60Hz
hdmi1.4: 4k 24Hz (hdmi2.0: 4k 60)

If your laptop card is compatible in form factor (M.2) you can give it a try.
