Optiplex 7080 Simple Communications controller
Bought 20 of these units for our organization and putting Win10 1607. That's what our images are built on currerntly. However installing the Intel Management engine software Dell offers for these desktops fails on all of them with a fatal error. Spoke to Dell support and this isn't covered under the standard warranty and want's $99. Any other suggestions for which driver we need? From the hardware ID it's a Comet Lake HECI Controller.

Windows 10: Fatal error reported when attempting to update the Intel Management Engine driver
If your operating system (OS) is one of the older versions, then you need to update it before the Intel ME driver can proceed. You can update the OS via Windows Updates or by contacting your IT department for assistance to upgrade the OS version to 10.0.18362.175 or newer.
Although LTSB has some years left in it's life cycle, Dell/Intel has chosen to move on it seems and compatibility is once again an issue in 2021.
