When I try to access "Get Drivers and Downloads" in SupportAssist, I get error msg stating "System is busy , try after some time. A task is currently in progress . . . ". This has been going on for hours now and after several reboots of Windows 10 PC.

I had the same problem a couple of times on my Alienware Aurora R 13, its not a desktop related, its a program issue , maybe closed while doing run or something else.
You might un-install support assist, reboot and install program again.

There aint no freaky creepy dilemma since the is only 1 supportassist in Config Windows ^^
Un-install, reboot and go to dell website or Alienware update stand alone program and re-install support assist again, make sure you run properly the program, never close it. and do nothing while run program

Its a Command...no big deal. Install again, when you face the same problems i strongly advise to contact DELL- Cares.
i had the same problems, and they are solved after a reinstall.

I've re-installed SupportAssist twice now. And each time I try to download and install the Command Update, it hangs up SupportAssist again. Now I have SupportAssist re-installed (again) and I'm not attempting to download the Command Update.
