Upgrade Optiplex 3020 to cpu i5 or higher
Hello,
I would like to know if my OptiPlex 3020 Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4150 CPU @ 3.50GHz 3.50 GHz can be upgraded to to Intel Core i5 Series | AMD Ryzen Series or better with a benchmark score of 3400 or higher?
If so, how do I go about that?
I run dual monitor, 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Any Intel 4th gen cpu is supported including i5-4570, 4590 and i7-4770,4790 etc.
check out user benchmark for all successfully installed cpu.
Categorically no support of any amd cpu including Ryzen. Your board is Intel socket and chipset.
Cpu benchmark of i5 includes single thread rating and “cpu mark”.

the king of 4th gen cpu is i7-4790k.

PS if your target of 2300 refers to single thread rating, 4790k meets, 4790 barely.

Hello i have optiplex 3020 it has a i3 4th gen so can i use i5 3570k processor on it please let me know
