dell 7010 noise

Still having noise issues with my Optiplex 7010.

Its more a a droning/humming noise and normally occurs after the pc has been running for a while.

have run it with the top off for a while but nothing obvious. What is obvious is that if you lift it up or push down on the casing it stops instantly. Also if you push down on the blue leaver that holds the cd caddy in place it also stops instantly. Have had the hdd drive replace so should be ok. Have read theres cpu fan faults but cant seem to hear anything loud from that area but im sure its possible.

Would be grateful for any tips, advice or your thoughts on whats causing this droning/humming noise

Thanks

Sounds like a simple mechanical case vibration. If not the case itself, a "spinning" part like HDD or Fan is likely cause. Are all the case pieces snapped into place ... are all the screws tight?

Insert a kitchen-cabinet bumper (or black electrical tape wrapped around a piece of cardboard) between the case pieces that are vibrating.
