Appliance selection, ODA or VSPEX?

Obviously, appliance building up is kind popular. EMC does VSPEX/VCE, Oracle does ODA/Exadata; although I am a fan of “Appliance things” @ technical angle, since I always like to treat them as pressuring innovation, but they are really helpful to customer TCE.

I like to know, standing from customer, what is your opinions of “Pro and Con” of these two appliance?

Note, I did not put Exadate here, since it has some unique features,  Smart Scan、Storage Index、Hybrid Columnar Compression, etc.
