Install an additional PSU on an existing, single PSU Dell EMC PowerEdge R740
I installed an additional PSU on a PowerEdge R740 server configured as a single PSU. Completed initial installation and wiring procedures; I connected an AC cable and the power distribution unit produces normal AC output. I checked power management and saw that the new power supply is in the failed state.
What can I do to solve this problem?

Is new PSU is same wattage and type of existing PSU? Can you also check in Lifecycle Logs for any PSU related messages? Can you also check PSU redundancy setting on iDRAC
