R720xd 是否能加独显？

服务器的集成显卡只有8MB的显存，和只有最基本的显示功能，目前R720服务器使用的GPU都是用于运算，目前只对以下GPU做过兼容性测试，如要使用其它型号的GPU，你需要自动测试。

Supported GPU Cards

AMD - 75W - RemoteFX - Windows 2008 R2 SP1

• ATI V7800P - single wide
  • Max of 4 controllers installed in PCI-e risers 2 or 3
  • 1 aux power ports connected to each GPGPU an riser
  • Refer to the ATI V7800 training page for information.

Nvidia - 300W - RemoteFX - Windows 2008 R2 SP1 | HPCC computing - Linux

• Nvidia M2075 - double wide
  • Max of 2 controllers installed in slot 4 (riser2) and slot 6 (riser3)
  • 2 power ports per card | 1 power connector per riser
• Nvidia M2070Q - double wide
  • Max of 2 controllers installed in slot 4 (riser2) and slot 6 (riser3)
  • 2 power ports per card | 1 power connector per riser
• Nvidia M2090 - double wide
  • Max of 2 controllers installed in slot 4 (riser2) and slot 6 (riser3)
  • 2 power ports per card | 1 power connector per riser

GPU Card Restrictions

• Requires 2 CPUs
• CPU must be 95W or less
• Max of two double wide GPGPU (rule that they take up 2 slots)
• Max of four single wide GPGPU
• All GPUs must be same type / model
• GPU requires redundant 1100W PSU and GPU enablement kit
• Two double-wide GPU requires optional riser 3
• Four single wide GPU cannot have optional riser 3
• TBU not supported

以下是在实际案例中客户自行加入GPU时发现的问题及解决方案：

背景:

客户反映需要调用NVIDIA Quadro K4000 GPU.

但是客户一旦禁用掉BIOS中的Embedded Video Controller.

开机就会出现CPU1 internal error IERR的错误.无法正常开机.

解决方案:

经过测试确认:

如果要调用到NVIDIA Quadro K4000 GPU.

必须确认以下两点:

1. 1.      升级OS到Windows  server 2012
2. 2.      在BIOS里面Disable Embedded Video Controller和Memory Mapped I/O above 4G这2个选项
