540-11148 Broadcom 5719 QP 1Gb NIC shows no iSCSI Option
Hi,
i have purchased a "cheap" 5719 QP (540-11148).
I installed Windows 2012 and the latest Firmware and Drivers for the NIC.
But i can´t configure iSCSI for this Card, the Option is greyed out in the menu of BASC.
Are there two modells of this Card availabe?
A cheap one for 70€ and a expensive one for 250€ ?
I wan´t to test some iSCSI Remote Boot with a T110 Model.

Hello juergenb52
I don't show there is a non-iSCSI bootable version of the 5719 that we sell. I was unable to locate the "cheap" version of the controller that you mentioned.
Make sure that you are going into the NIC BIOS via CTL S during boot to set the boot protocol as iSCSI.
Thanks

There are licenses built into the BCOM NICs. I show that ISCSi boot is a standard option and not a licensed option on the 5719, but it is possible that the reseller of the 5719 you purchased excluded some features from the card to reduce cost. I would suggest checking with them to see if that is the case.
Also, I show that the 5719 is compatible with the T110 II, but I don't show it is compatible with the first release T110. If you don't have the second revision then there may be limited functionality.
Thanks

Thanks Daniel,
i checked the CTRL S Settings.
It is possible to enable iSCSI Boot and set all the Options in CTRL S Mode.
But within Windows BACS only reports these offload capabilitys: LSO, CO, RSS
I am still not shure if this NIC has full power or is only a cheap model.
