PowerEdge T330 errors about backplane

Hi all,
my server has only 2 hdd sata in 1 bay.
The cable sas A in lonly connected from backplane to raid controller.
The display show me errors about cable sas B and hdd in the other slot but the bay 2 and slots are empty.
How can i disable bay 2 and slot hdd?
May be the backplane is foulty?
May be i have to install the cable sas B even if i have not hdd there?

Tks

Christoffer Dibisceglia,

I take it that your T330 has the x8 HDD Backplane installed. If this is the case then the SAS B cable will be required as well. With the X4 backplane it is a single SAS A cable. Both can be seen on page 77 and 78 here.

Let me know if this helps.

T320 sorry.
Backplane has x8 slots for HDD but i installed only 2 HDD in the first x4 slot bay (SAS cable A).
Everything works, raid and VMware too.
The only problem is that display show error about cable SAS B and errors about the first 4 hdd, all leds blink amber but only 2 are installed.
How can show me error if the other 2 hdd are not installed?

Tks
