2,5 inch SSD in 3,5 inch HDD holder (r710)
Hello,
We just bought a R710 with the 6x 3,5 inch chassis.
We have 3 Intel 2,5 inch SSD's that we would like to use in the server.
The 3,5 inch trays work fine for 3,5 inch HDD,
but what kind of bracket do we need to make it work with the SSD's? I presume the default 2,5 > 3,5 brackets will not work in the bay, because the sata connector will be unalligned?

Hello,
You need a special bracket that keeps the 2.5 SSD in the lower part of the tray, so the sata connector matched the location of a default 3.5 disk.
The part number needed: CPL-Y004G BRKT 2.5-3.5
Hopefully this can help someone.
