2950 6x 1TB drives and Redhat Ent 5.4 x64bit

Hey team,

Ok I know how to create a VD within the raid configuration utility in the perc device.

What I was needing was some expert advice on getting RedHat to recgonize the reaming HD space.

So what i do is

1. I create a Raid 5 and give it 500GB of had space

2. Then create another VD and give it 1.90TB of hard drive space.

3. create the last VD and assign it the remaining HD space which is arrounf 1.80TB

I thne boot my redhat CD up and then proceed to install the OS on the 500Gb partition.

Now of course when I am in my OS trying to find the additonal HD space I cannot view it.

Would anyone have any ideas on how to do this?

I tried parted but that didn't work. It does not see the additonal HD space.

unless I am missing something.

Halp me.  ;)

What do you mean you do not see it? Does fdisk not see it? Did you partition and format the disks and then add them to fstab to make sure they mount on boot?
