Cancel Rebuild Process
Hi
I have a dell PowerEdge with PERC H710, RAID 5. One drive failed and i reseated the drive, Drive 012 now that drive is in the process of rebuilding, i received a replacement drive. can i stop the rebuild process on the faild drive and insert the new drive in that slot even though the failed drive is in the process of rebuild, please note we have hot swap-able drives, and only that drive is bad ?

Yes, the H710 supports cancelling a rebuild. I think this action can only be performed through management software like OMSA. You can find more information in the OMSA storage manual:
