Change Reconstruct Rate While Reconstructing
Hi
I have a server that has which is reconstructing the RAID 5 array after having two disks added to the array. As the reconstruction process is running into business hours, is it possible to reduce the Reconstruct Rate to say 5% during business hours and then increase back up to 30% outside of business hours?
The controller is the PERC H710P mini.

It is possible to change the Reconstruct Rate under the controller properties in Server Administrator (OMSA). The rate change takes effect with the next Reconstruction of the array. However, a change to this rate is almost negligible based on the server load. It is therefore advisable to keep it at the default rate of 30%.
