Configuration problem with poweredge 2900 perc 6/i
Hi,
So what I'm trying to accomplish is it bought a used poweredge 2900 did not have any drives with it. Bought 12 Hitachi 300gb sas drives. The problem that I'm running into right now is when I first installed the drives and powered the system up all drives had green lights, after attempting to configure the array with a new virtual disk the drives show as failed in the physical disk management screen and have blinking amber health lights. However if I reseat the drives they go back to being green light and showing as ready after reboot in the physical disk management screen.
Thanks for any help.
Eventually I plan to install Windows server 2003 r2 on this if I can get that far in the process.

Hello.
Are these drives Dell certified? Ensure that the system BIOS, BMC and controller firmware is up to date.
Did you attempt to create a VD after reseating the drives?

Try just one or two drives, and try rotating them.
System firmware up to date?
Why Server 2003?
