DELL Poweredge R710 HDD Problem

I mean to say in my server i can see 3 Hdd in disk mangment. since it is raid configured. total 6 hdds, 3 should be mirrored in raid.

can u tell is it Raid 10?

and what will be the configuration, i mean is 0 mirrored to 1, similarly 2 to 3 and 4 to 5.

i didnt configure it and i dont know anything about raid config.

What do you mean by 'showing 3 hdd'?

The message means drive 4 is offline, and it is very possible it needs to be replaced. You could run diagnostics on it to be sure it is faulty or you could just plan to replace it - as soon as possible.

Ok ... 6 disks, 3 RAID 1's (each RAID array will show as a separate "disk" in Disk Management) ... that makes sense.

If above is correct, then you do NOT have a RAID 10 and the disk showing failed is one of two mirrored disks in a RAID 1/mirror (probably disks 4,5).  Plan on ordering a replacement disk for disk 4.

Where do you see "physically 6 SAS HDDs"?
