DELL R510 Memory Upgrade
Like many on the forum i am
1) Wanting to upgrade memory in an R510 for a client and
2) Have no idea of the lingo and want to make sure my recommendation is right
Existing Server has
DUAL IN-LINE MEMORY MODULE, 4G, 1333, 2RX8, 8, 240, REGULATORY, LOW VOLTAGE
Wanting to pull memory out of Slot 4 and insert
2x Dell 16 GB Certified Replacement Memory Module for Select Dell Systems - 2Rx4 RDIMM 1600MHz LV (A6994465)
Would this proposed configuration work?

All slots are currently populated.
It has dual processors

We would need to know what slots are currently being populated, as well as how many processors are installed. Those would need to be answered to know how to populate the server.

Sorry for the delay. Since the 16gb are larger dimms they wouldn't work in slot 4, they would need to be installed in slot A1 and B1.
