Dell 2800 raid controller error

Hi All. Have DELL powerege 2800. Today i'm update PERC4 controller firmware (install this:  LSI Logic-Firmware Version:

522D, A17), then configure raid 1 wint 2 drives 36.4 gb and install linux.

After reboot i see:

1 Logical Drives Found on host adapter

1 Logical Drives handled by BIOS

and then my server stop boot.  I'm waiting for 3 hours, but he did not boot.

after reboot have same problem.

Press any keys not help.

Interestingly, when the first reboot before installing Linux, everything booted well

Please tell me how to solve this problem.

IPF,

Would you access the Perc 4 BIOS (Ctrl-M) then select CONFIGURE - then SPECIFY BOOT DRIVE. Enter the number of the Linux array. Exit out and see if OS boots.

Let me know how it goes.

So it won't let you access the BIOS?

Take the server to a minimum to post configuration, that is removing everything from the server but the following.

System Board

Processor

One stick of memory in DIMM1-A or DIMM1-B

Power supply

Riser

Control panel (power button - only required if the last power state was off)

After removing everything then try to boot the server again and see if it is completing POST.

If so then add each removed device back to the server until it stops again, then we know the part causing the issue.

I select specify boot drive in prec4 bios, but in not boot, because stop after show this:

1 Logical Drives Found on host adapter

1 Logical Drives handled by BIOS

Then see only A blinking cursor   (  as like   _   )

. When it work good , i see drac configuration and other , but now i not see it , and not go to motherboard bios (when press F2) (

. Maybe my LSI logic card faulty?

Tomorrow I'm going to work and check everything. Before flashing the Riser card, I noticed no problems.
