Dell R310 with SAS 6/ir Controller
I have a Linux CentOS 5.11 system with a Raid 1 with SATA drives. 1 of the drives failed when I received a new drive the SAS 6 controller doesn't recognize the new drive and the raid never rebuilds. Is their a certain Linux command I should run? I have tried echo “- – -” > /sys/class/scsi_host/host0/scan.

Hi,
Do you have Openmanage Server Administrator installed? http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=NYWD7

Yes OpenManage 7.4 is installed, but I only get the option to "Reset COnfiguration" which will destroy the raid. The new disk doesn't shop up and when I do a slot report, no disk appears in slot 0 where the new disk is.

Trying moving the disk in slot 1 to slot 0 and putting the blank disk in slot 1.
