Flashing firmware on ST32000644NS under Windows

Is there any way to flash firmware on ST32000644NS under Windows ?

I don't have direct access to my server but I would like to upgrade firmware on my drive from KD03 to KA06.

Are these Dell-certified drives or generic/retail?  What server?  There is at least a 99% chance that this must be done with bootable media and not from within Windows.

Yes. These are Dell certified drives Dell EqualLogic. I use these drives in just normal PC-based server based on ASUS motherboard.

Then, no, you cannot update the drive firmware from Windows.  A few Dell drives are DUP-enabled, meaning they can be flashed while online, but this must be done on a Dell machine with drives attached to a supported Dell controller.  To update these drives in your configuration, you will need to update via bootable media.

If the drives are Dell-certified, then you will need to use the Dell firmware update utility for these drives, but I don't know if they will run on a non-Dell system.  I suspect they will from bootable media, but I can't tell you that for sure.

Just got some very old Compaq notebook and it's seems to be working ok. Now all I have to do is to just get a normal desktop PC with SATA port.

It seems that KD03 is the oldest firmware, then there was KA05 and after it there was KA06.

Got some of them in my office, but we use Apple Mac Pro's only and when I boot nautilus.iso DVD it's not working.

Does the updater work only on Dell computers or I can run it on any other PC ?
