H700 Controller in R710 no more visible in OMSA After FW Update
I have a R710 with a h700 Controller Running a esxi 6.5 with LSI CIM Provider and OMSA 8.5.
Everything was working so i could See the H700 in OMSA and also Discs. The Controller was Running an older Firmware so I made an fw Update to lautest Version. Controller is working, esx is Running everything is ok, But I could Not See any Controller in OMSA. In LSI MSM the Controller is visible.
Reboot and Power off did Not help
Anything Else what i can do . New FW is 12.10.7.1

Hello
Are you checking it from a remote system or are you using OpenManage Integration for VMware Vcenter? If you a remote OMSA session I would try updating the OMSA client from the remote station and then the OMSA VIB from VMware if the issue persists. If you are using OMIVV then I would uninstall/reinstall.
Updating the PERC firmware shouldn't affect OMSA, but the firmware and driver work in tandem. If you are not using the storage driver from our custom image then that could be the problem.
Thanks

Hello
so I uninstalled /installed /rebooted OMSA on the W2K12R2 Server and uninstalled /installed / rebooted the vib on the esxi host, but the H700 is not visible as storage in OMSA.
I could see the H700 in OMSA as adapter in the PCI2 slot and also in LSI MSM.
Any other help ?

My only other suggestion would be to go back to the older firmware that was working. You should backup your data before back-flashing firmware. The RAID may need to be recreated if you experience issues after the back-flash.
When you run an unsupported configuration that is working it may stop working if anything in the configuration changes. Unsupported configurations can exhibit very odd behavior. For instance, you may back-flash to the same revision firmware you had previously and it may still not display properly in OMSA.
VMware 6.0 is the latest versions validated for the R710. A link to VMwares compatibility list can be found here:
