Help, How to boot old hard disk of PowerEdge R410 in a PowerEdge R430?

Hi, sorry for bring troubles.

Recently I have some problems with my server (PE R410), some water of air conditioning drop inside it.

Now is running but I don't trust, I want change to a new server (PE R430), but I want use the same disk,  same OS, same data, just new hardware.

Is possible just plug the old disk? or I need do something special?

What characteristics I should search for a new server?

What recomended to me for have succesfull in this?

My server is PowerEdge R410,

Controller: Dell PERC 6/i Adapter RAID Controller 0

I have 4 physical disk, and two virtual Disk with LayOut RAID-1

You can't just move the HDD from the old system to a new one. The OS was installed on that HDD based on the hardware in the R410 so it's unlikely to work with the R430.

If you're buying a new R430, the OS is probably already installed on its HDD. If not, you'll have to do a fresh OS installation, followed by installing any other software you need.

Ron, thanks for your answer but i try to do it, because I have in HDD Windows 2003 and a special software with a database that I don't want lose :/

I will try many things, I want some advices
