How big is a RAID 10 comprising 4 x 120Gb disks?

Seems like a daft question but I'm a little confused.

Poweredge 1600SC CERC ATA100 with 4 120Gb drives. 2 arrays each with 2 x 120Gb in Raid 1 striped. By my reckoning it should leave me with a usable volume of 120Gb. Disk Manager reports 223.49Gb!

Can someone lift the veil of ignorance on why this is so?

If the there are four drives each pair in a RAID 1 configuration, you will have ~240gb. If you have a RAID 10 configuration, it will consist of two RAID 1 arrays (120gb per array) but they are stripped RAID 0. Data is then distributed between the two arrays, leaving you ~240gb. There is no parity invloved what so ever. RAID 01 is where you have two RAID 0 arrays (striping) which are mirrored (RAID 1).

Thanks, of course, and I knew there was something stupid in my question. The arithmetic got 'mirrored' (as a Hall of Mirrors) before installing the new OS.
