Linux and S300 raid controller
Hi,
I bought a new PowerEdge T310 with a S300 raid controller. On dell site I have read that T310 is supported on RedHat Enterprise but this seems not true. If I boot from redhat dvd it cant see the disk, then my question is:
is T310 supported on linux ?

The T310 fully supports Linux, but when you built the T310 on Dell's website, I assume you read the part right above the raid controller choice where it says "PERC S100 & PERC S300 supported on Microsoft OS only. No Virtualization OS Support.".
I suggest you call Dell sales and buy a PERC6i or PERC H700 (be sure to verify with sales if you need any specific cables that you may not have yet).
