OMSA shows Non-critical warnings on all my ST3600057SS 600G 15K disks
Latest firmware and all..
OMSA 8.4
PE r720 / PERC h710
Have erased and cleared the disks, etc.
Despite upgrading the drive firmware sit still shows non-critical.
Any ideas? I guess they could be broken - but all 4 at exactly the same time?
Plus, they seem to work fine.
BTW, upgrading the drive firmware was NOT easy on this ESXi machine. Lifecycle to ftp.dell.com didn't show anything related to drives. In the end I had to blow away ESXi and load Windows just to run the disk firmware update.

You can boot to a disc prepared with a Repository Manager or a bootable FW update disc.
What is the make and model? They they original Dell disks that came with the server FROM DELL or purchased after-market for it? Sounds to me like they are not certified drives, in which case, you can't make that message go away.
