PE 2900 III and raid, quick question
Hello!
I have probly a simple question and just wanted to put this out here to resolve a problem of mine.
I have a PowerEdge 2900 with a SAS6IR Raid controller. (341-5700)
I would like to put a raid 5 onto 4 x 750gb HDs
I’ve looked in the controller card settings for info as well as the dell open manage program and can not find anything.
But the problem is all I can see is Raid 0 or Raid 1
Im fairly new to this sort of thing but now its just getting frustrating. :(
Any help would be much appreciated

The SAS6iR can only do RAID 0 & 1, do have the RAID 5 you would need the PERC 6i.

Dennis! Thanks so much for looking at this, didnt think any one was going to answer.
As you could probly tell im super green when it comes to this im not even sure why i was put in charge of this project.
