PowerEdge 650 IDE Hard Drives

Does anyone know if the IDE hard drives in a PowerEdge 650 rackmount are able to be removed from the front of the unit without having to unrack the server and open up the system?

My company is setting up a test environment and were considering buying a bunch of these servers, but we need the hard drives to be able to be accessed with removable bays from the front of the unit.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks...

Hi,

The PowerEdge 650 system case must be opened to remove the hard drives, however if the server is mounted on rails, there is no need to completely remove it from the rack.
