PowerEdge R420 with PERC H710 - Add physical drives to expand virtual hard drives
Have PowerEdge R420 running Windows Server 2008 R2 with PERC H710 MINI embedded controller with 6 physical drives (each 600GB 10K SAS HDD), RAID 10 with three spans, all on connector 0. I am running out of space. I attempted to add two more physical drives to fill up drive bays. I can see them on OpenManage but can not initialize or add span to existing setup to expand virtual drive.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Unfortunately there will not be a way to do this, as the Raid 10 Virtual Disk is not expandable. As you can see from the manual here, it isn't possible to expand a spanned Virtual Disk. you would have to backup, delete, recreate, and then restore.

Thanks Chris for the response. Wasn't what I was hoping for, but answers my question none the less.
