Poweredge 840 perc5/I firmware update

Hi:

I am refurbishing a PowerEdge 840.  I have the latest OpenManage software and under STORAGE\PERC 5/I Adapter (PCI Sot 1)\Firmaware/Driver version If get the error firmware is out of date:

This is the info from the OpenManage:

Firmware Version 5.2.1-0066
Minimum Required Firmware Version 5.2.2-0072
Driver Version 5.02.121.64
Storport Driver Version 6.2.9200.16813

I am running SERVER 2012 Standard (not R2) which is not a supported OS but that should not prevent me from finding and loading the correct FIRMWARE for this device.  I cannot find it anywhere.  Can anyone help me find the firmware to download and install for this unit?

Hello

It's listed under the driver page for the 840 under the SAS RAID section:

http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/poweredge-840/drivers

Here is a direct link to the download page:

http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=10DNJ

The Windows version of the file will probably run under 2012, but if you have issues you will need to create DOS bootable media and use the hard drive version of the updater. The installation instructions for each version are listed on that page.

Thanks

Thank you for the links.  I cannot find the floppy links - I tried the desktop but it says it cannot run a 16bit application (Server 2012).  If I can get the floppy-based install or an ISO I could add a floppy drive for the initial update then remove it or boot from an ISO.  Could you please help me with this as I cannot seem to get the floppy (at the bottom of the page) to download.

Thanks again

Marshall

Forget the above - it looks like it finally did work.  Thank you for your assistance!
