R510 Raid Upgrade
I have a R510 that has the Model UCP-61 controller which from research says it is the PERC 6i. I am looking to upgrade the controller to support larger than 2TB drives. Can someone point me in the right direction for what controllers (part numbers) are a good replacement and what cables I may need to connect to the backplane?

SAS A Cable: Y673P
SAS B Cable: P744P
1x12 System Requires:
H700 Card: CNXVV (512Mb), 39H7H (1GB)
SAS A Cable: Y674P
SAS B Cable: P745P
Your existing RAID Battery and Battery Cable will connect to the new card.

Hello,
The R510 has the controller options listed above, fibre channel cards, and SAS and iSCSI HBAs. There are the LSI2032 (x4) and the Emulex OCE10102IX-D (x8), but I don not see an x16 option.

You can try it, but is neither validated nor supported. It may work, but there is nothing we can offer to support if it does not. The supported card nearest that is an Emulex 8x card.
