R730 PERC H730P Mini with SSD - Remaining Rated Write Endurance is unavailable

Hi,

I'm looking at replacing the SSDs on our R730 (need to increase the size of the array), but wanting to know the status of the existing drives.

Logging into the iDrac, the Remaining Rated Write Endurance for all of the drives is "unavailable".

H730P Mini firmware at version 25.5.5.0005.

Why is this and how can I fix it?

Hello

Write endurance reporting is a firmware communication issue. Make sure the firmware on the PERC and drives are up to date. If you are not using certified drives then they may not report correctly or at all.

Thanks

Thanks Daniel,

F/W is up to date (as far as the PERC is concerned). I suspect the reason is that I'm using non-certified Samsung drives.
