Rebuilding a VD (RAID 5), Can I boot during?

A simple question:

I'm rebuilding a raid 5 on a PERC6/i. Everything seems to be going fine, my question is can I restart and boot the server without interrupting the rebuild? I started the rebuild process through the card's bios menu (so on boot) and I'm wondering if the card will continue to do its job if I exit out of it and start up the OS on the server?

Thanks for any reply.

*edit* The OS is loaded on a USB drive by the way, I thought that pertinent. The raid array is used as a datastore on an ESXI installation, so it will be needed once booted, but not for the boot itself.

Yes, the rebuild will simply pick up where it left off after the rebuild and the array will remain online (although with degraded performance) until complete.
