Remove Raid 1 from Dell PowerEdge 700

I have a Dell PE 700 server with 2 SATA 140GB drives in RAID-1 configuration.  I want to remove the RAID so that I can have a single BASIC volume of 280GB.  This is a home test server.   I don't need RAID .  What I need is storage capacity instead.   The utility that comes with this server is PERC/CERC BIOS Configuration Utility.   Unlike other RAID utilities I've used this one is not intuitive.   Can anyone help me?   How can I remove the RAID-1 ...and, gain each disk back so that I can get a total of 280GB?

Hello mango1

You can boot to the controller BIOS(CTL A) and select Array Configuration Utility. Then select Manage Arrays and delete your current array. After that select Create Array and create either a RAID 0 with both drives or two single drive RAID 0's. That will give you the maximum available drive capacity. You will lose all data on the array during this process.

Thanks
