Replace degraded disk on an SAS 6/iR controller
All references I have found about replacing a failing drive indicate that I should offline the drive before replacing the drive. The server is a PE1950 III with Open Manage Server Administrator version 6.4.0. When I look at the drive in the list the only commands available are blink and unblink; there is no offline listed. Any ideas on how to offline the disk before replacing?

Forcing a disk offline is not supported on the SAS 6/iR, so you simply remove it and replace it.

Forcing offline a disk is important on PERC controllers WHEN the disk is showing a predictive failure.
