Seagate SATA ST9500530NS firmware revision DA09 Exist?

Hi All,

PE R610 with SAS 6/iR and Seagate SATA ST9500530NS firmware version DA06.  Running Server Administrator 7.4.0.1.

Under System\ Storage\ SAS 6iR Integrted\ Information/Configuration\Available Reports - View Physical Disk Firmware Version Report indicates that a firmware update to version DA09 is required.  Searched high and low and the latest firmware I could locate is DA06, which is what is currently installed.

Is Server Administrator incorrect?  Or is DA09 available somewhere?  I've also run OpenManage Essentials which indicates no newer firmware is required.

Thanks in advance.

Hello

DA09 is no longer available for download. The current revision is DA0A:

http://www.dell.com/support/home/ca/en/cabsdt1/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverid=PP3VH

The release order was:

DA03
DA06
DA09
DA0A

You should install the latest compatible version of OMSA for your system so that it will properly report the current version.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply.

I had found this earlier, but the R610 is listed under compatible systems.   So I want verify this applies to the R610?

Thanks!

Make that isn't listed as a compatible system.

That is what I thought.  Just wanted to be sure.

Thanks.

Yes.

The update is not specific to the server the drive is installed in. It appears that the R610 was not included in the list of servers this drive is available with. This was just an oversight when the update was pushed.

Thanks
