T310 PERC6/i Cables
Hi,
I have added a PERC6/i to my Poweredge T310 but I hit a snag... They did not come with any cables. I have searched everywhere but I couldn't find them... The cable I'm looking for is something like this: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/servers/f/906/p/19309095/19625349.aspx#19625349 but with a 8 pin power connector... Does anyone know where I can buy this cable?

I also noticed after installing the PERC6/i the fan speed doubled (from ~1500 to ~3000 RPM). Is this normal? (I have the server in a temperature controlled room)

Yes, most systems are designed to up the fan speed when hardware is added that may increase the load and heat on the server, including the PERC. Make sure your BIOS and ESM/BMC are up to date for the latest designed optimal fan speed.
