Unable to get Windows 2012 R2 to install

I have configured the RAID and Windows 2012 R2 setup detects it.

However, when I select the drive the following error message appears:

"We couldn't create a partition or create an existing one."

BIOS version: 2.0.19

Any ideas?

I solved this issue by disabling the internal SD card in the bios.

Hi gregpakes

Do you have the Dell Systems Management Tools and Documentation version 7.3 disk? If yes, perhaps you can use that disk for the Windows Server 2012 installation?

Here's the ISO file, if you need:-

Let us know how it goes.

This answer helped installing Windows Server 2012 R2 onto a R620.

Only a crazy person would think that turning the SD interface off would let the setup find the drives.

Thanks for being crazy !  And thanks for giving some more hours with my family this weekend. ;)

Feisal.
