r320, SATA RAID-1, ubuntu 16.04

Hi,

I'm trying to install Ubuntu on an r320, but instead of the RAID volume it sees two individual disks ... how/where do I get a driver that makes this work as desired?

Cheers

Hi,

Which RAID controller are you using?

Hi Josh,

The built-in iPERC SATA RAID ...

Wasted about 2 days so far on trying to make Linux play nice with the machine ...

The onboard controller only supports Windows, so it just sees the drives as individual drives in Ubuntu. For hardware Raid support you need to have a PERC H310 or H710 hardware controller.
