hi, i have two question
one about performance of my raid 5 array, perc 5/i with 4 250 GB SATA2 7200 rpm disk
in the image below i show the result of ATTO disk benchmark
i have default configuration and my driver version are:
i would know if this result are good or is possible to improve it
The second question is always about write performance, but over usb disk
in the attach image i show the I/O troughput while i'm writing on external usb disk
i don't understand why the copy is not continuous, but start then stop and then restart ecc.....
can you help me.. please..
recently the usb disk give me problem and i can't access to some folder. power off and power on and restart ok
maybe the usb driver is breaking??
thanks a lot
About the PERC 5/i controller, you should try with the latest FW (5.2.2-0072) and driver (220.127.116.11). It should get you better performance. The ATTO picture you attached it is not showing.
We are experiencing the same issue - erratic time remaining when performing a large file copy to a USB 2.0 drive - this happens across all USB drives we have been able to test. Times start out at 10 minutes - then jump up to hundreds of minutes - then back down to 10 minutes - repeats until finished - but it takes much longer than it should.
We tried the latest drivers and firmware with no change. Any ideas?
