1600Sc and Samsung or Infineon memory?

Hi

Can I use a Infineon or Samsung PC2100 DDR Registered ECC module in a Dell 1600Sc machine?

Besides, Crucial/Kingston, who else provides memory modules for the 1600Sc?

/Andy

There are two versions of this server 400 and 533 FSB. Depending on ur server, you will need either DDR200 or DDR266, i forgot which is which PCxx00 notiation.

So to make sure, you get the right memory, check the module that is already in there. There should be a sticker that shows this information.

Andy:

I have a Samsung 1GB module in my 1600SC and it works fine.  It is p/n M383L2828CT1-CB0.

All the best,

Joe

Why don't you use Crucial's memory selector on ther website to find the correct memory form your 1600sc, and then just use the details to get exactly the right memory from your chosen manufacturer? The memory selector is excellent, and it has worked for our servers every time.
