BIOS Best Practice
A question from a customer: Is there a best practice for updating the system BIOS & other firmware? Covering what order, and whether you need to step through revisions etc. PowerEdge in general, but stimulated from updating a PE2650.
As far as I am aware you can skip BIOS revisions and just load the latest. But I'm not sure if there is a best practice for any other firmware.

You can generally just jump to the latest revision. There are exceptions. If you firmware is too far out of date the latest update package will tell you this and let you know which version you will need to update to before going to the latest.
IE - on a PE2650 if you are running A10 or earlier I believe that you have to go to A11 before going to A20.
