CPU Status 1 processor sensor CPU missing - PE2650

I'm getting the following on my 2650

Sun Nov 02 00:33:07 2003 CPU Status 2 processor sensor CPU missing
Sun Nov 02 00:33:07 2003 CPU Status 1 processor sensor CPU missing

The machine is working fine.  The LCD was amber but after clearing the log, it's green now.

Does anyone know what the error is?

Thanks.

I had 2 CPU running for the longest time.  The server has been up and on for almost 3 month with no reboot.

I suggest you to update BIOS and ESM firmware first. If the problem still there, maybe you need to call Dell technical support to replace some parts. (It seems many PE2650 has this problem)

OMG, I hate calling Dell Support.  We have the Premier support, it takes 2.5 hours just to have a drive replaced.  Can't imagine how long it takes to troubleshoot this one.  I will try to figure this out myself.

Anyway, Thanks for your feedback.

Hi Nde,

The latest System Upgrades resolves most of these false error messages on the PowerEdge 2650. If it is necessary to call technical support, it will save you a lot of time if these upgrades are already applied:

FileName:  PE2650-BIOSA16.exe [636 KB]
Release Date:  9/19/2003

ESM Firmware, PowerEdge 2650, A02

Thanks I will give that a shot.  I find this forum more useful than calling support.
