trying to set the E: drive (cd) as boot is that possible. thanks

Vietnam1,
You can access the Boot Mgr with hitting F11 at startup. You also have boot options in the BIOS (F2 at startup) as well. You will just need to put the Optical Disk Drive (ODD).
That should be all that you will need to do.
