Dell M905 Blade server
HI ,
we have a Dell M905 blade server that is giving the following errors any Ideas?
System Board PFault Fail Safe: Voltage sensor for System Board, state asserted was asserted
CPU1 VCORE: Voltage sensor for CPU1, state asserted was asserted
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hello
Voltage errors are typically caused by some sort of power disruption. Did the error occur during an unexpected shutdown, loss of power, or while connecting/disconnecting a hot swap device like USB?
If the error is persistent then you should look for additional errors in the hardware log to narrow down the cause of the problem. If the error is consistently occurring on CPU1 Vcore then I would swap CPU1 with another CPU to see if the error follows the CPU or stays with the slot. The CPU voltage regulator module for the M905 should be built into the system board, so if the issue stays with the slot then the board would likely need to be replaced.
Thanks

Did a new error appear in the hardware log of the server or was it reported by the CMC log? I would suggest that you clear all of the hardware logs. You can save the log before clearing. Old errors can be reported from the hardware log if they are not cleared out.
Thanks
