Dell power edge R 210 no bootea desde CD

Buenas tardes.

Muchas gracias.

Saludos.

RE: Dell power edge R 210 no bootea desde CD

Hello

If you have tested that much bootable media and none of them work then it is either an issue with the optical drive or boot order.

During boot you should be able to select the boot device by using one of the function keys. I think it is F12 to select boot device. There should be a list on the screen. If you manually select the optical drive as the boot device and it is still unable to boot from any media then the SATA port may be disabled. Check the SATA settings in the BIOS to make sure it is enabled.

If you still cannot boot to any media on that optical drive then it is likely an issue with the drive or a cable. You can boot to a USB thumb drive as an alternative to replacing hardware. Microsoft has a tool to copy an image to a USB and make it bootable for installation.

Hi Daniel

Thank you very much for your answer. The problem was the optical drive. I used another one and everything went well.

Thanks again.

Greetings.

Diego.
