Does R320 Intel X540 DP card supports DDIO ?

I cant find any credible information on what this card exactly is. Intel X540 AT2 supports DDIO (Intel Direct Data IO). But for example X540 T2 doesnt (or at least it is not in the spec)..

What is X540 DP which can be bought in R320 ? Does it support DDIO with Intel E5 CPUs ?

This whole setup is expensive. I need to know for sure if does what I need.

Apparently it is Intel E5 supports DDIO and not a particular device. Any IO device like NIC or RAID will have advantage of DDIO on E5 system

Google finds this, look in the advanced section: ark.intel.com/.../Intel-Ethernet-Controller-X540-AT2

I know. But Dell says X540 DP not AT2. you are not suggesting to throw 2K of money just to try and see whats inside? are you...

The keywords were: "I need to know for sure"

Then it's time to phone Dell and talk to a technical sales rep. They should have all the required info at hand.
